Personal Testimony
First, I would like to welcome and thank you for visiting Melchizedek Tabernacle of Victory (MTOV). 33 years ago (October 1989), Father delivered me from the law of sin and called me for the ministry of reconciliation. I suffered a painful illness acquired from military service. I was later healed by the power of God from an incurable cancer in 2003. The doctor told me I would be dead by 2009. Immediately, I called upon the name of God and reminded him of his word and rebuked Satan in the name of JESUS. Glory to God for his word and healing power! I am eternally grateful and committed to God our Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. God the Father has no respect of person and love each of us the same. Declare and walk in the Victory of Christ!

In addition, my greatest joy in life is serving to please my heavenly Father. Since 1999, I have been actively teaching the word of God, offering mentorship, and performing supportive roles in church leadership development with concentrations in education for i.e. church leadership, youth development, and missions. In 2019, God compelled me by his Spirit to start independently serving him to fulfill my purpose in life as the subsidiary known as Melchizedek Tabernacle of Victory for Creative Empowerment of Hampton Roads LLC, IRS 501 (C)3 tax exemption organization established in January 2003.
I enjoy spending quality time with my family in my downtime. I am blessed to have found a beautiful wife of 14 years; a father of two and grandfather of one. I enjoy freshwater fishing, jogging and power walking ~ not excluding health and fitness.
Biography
Derick D. Norris is a well-rounded redemptive believer and ordained minister by God for Christ. He acknowledged and accepted fundamental teaching and training in the word of God, while learning the movements of the Holy Spirit, and in depth spiritual understanding under the leadership of Apostle Geraldine F. Holloway, The School of the Prophets Blessing Ministry, Norfolk, Virginia between 1989-2003. In December 2020, he was licensed as an Elder by Pastor Antonio R. Woolard for St. Paul Christian Fellowship in Norfolk, Virginia.
He is a disabled Navy veteran, and socialpreneur with combine 33 years of expertise in ministry, financial literacy and services, and healthcare administration, and Information Technology ~ not excluding non-profit management and leadership.
Derick acquired his undergraduate degree in Management and Leadership from the Christian liberal arts college then known as Bluefield College, now known as Bluefield University, Bluefield, Virginia.
Derick holds business leadership certifications acquired from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration in which he is nationally recognized as a Fellows Coach and Mentor. In addition he acquired the Department of Veteran Affairs, VISN 6 Mid-Atlantic Advancement Program for Leadership certification with concentration on Individual, Staff Development, and Team Building prior to his retirement.
Derick is the founder, president and chief executive officer for Alternative 33 Holdings Inc. in which he leads over multiple profit and nonprofit organizations. Derick is also licensed in Virginia, Texas, and North Carolina in financial services offering awareness opportunities and financial benefit plans for diverse families. He is the founder, managing member and executive director of Creative Empowerment of Hampton Roads, LLC (CEHR) established in January 2003, a community development corporation that address community advancement issues for rural agricultural areas. CEHR focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics continuum with special concentrations on Leadership, Financial Literacy, Information Technology (Cisco Network Academy and CompTIA Partner; cyber security, coding etc.) and Agricultural, and Technology Research and Development.
Derick enjoys working with people and organizations to combine honest talk and action planning for heightened spiritual and self-awareness through biblical principles, business skill sets and life coaching with strong emphasis on Service Excellence. By the grace of God, He is an advocate and champion for change. He is blessed to understand biblical principles, organization culture, community advancement, and setting/meeting sustainable, duplicate goals for your advancement in the kingdom of God and your natural life.
